If you are looking for a venue, with accommodation or space for a large gathering, then we might have the space for you. The Kenelm Youth Trust has two sites available for private hire, with room to sleep over 100 people, conference facilities, and a fantastic setting for a wedding venue. Private HireIf you're looking for a venue which you can hire out exclusively, a venue with accommodation, kitchen facilities and social spaces, then one of our centres might be perfect for you.
Alton Castle and Soli are both situated in Alton, Staffordshire, just 5 minutes from Alton Towers Theme Park. The castle can sleep 80+ people and Soli can sleep 50; both centres have dormitory style sleeping arrangements with bunkbeds. At Soli, each room has its own bathroom, and at the castle, each floor has a dormitory-style bathroom with cubicles. Both of our centres can offer cooking and dining facilities and some social spaces (Soli has a comfortable lounge and the castle has a games room). Wedding VenueAlton Castle has been used for many weddings over recent years, as well as being the location for wedding photography workshops. The site is stunning, with views over the Churnet Valley, the use of our 19th century gothic-revival castle (designed by the architect Pugin), complete with grand dining room, and the backdrop of the ruins of the 12th century medieval castle in our grounds. The castle can accommodate over 80 guests, and our dining room can seat 100+. We can also offer ample parking for use of your guests.

Conference facilitiesSoli, formerly known as The Lord Shrewsbury, a hotel which was originally owned by the Earls of Shrewsbury, is our centre which offers conference facilities. We have two conference rooms available for hire. The small conference room offers 50 delegates, whereas the large offers 100. Both can be setup in a boardroom style if requested.
