kyt youth ministry conferenceSaturday 12th October 2024 from 10am - 6pm
Tickets: £15 We are so excited to invite you to our Youth Ministry Conference taking place at the beautiful Alton Castle on Saturday 12th October.
On your arrival you will be greeted with a bacon butty and refreshments will be available throughout the day. We will also be providing a delicious lunch, all of which is included in the price of your ticket. The purpose of the day is to acknowledge and reflect on current cultural trends and how we best respond to them as youth ministers. Recognising the importance of being prepared to tackle the climate we are all immersed in, the day will be jam-packed with relevant and expert-led workshops. Each workshop has been specifically selected and curated to fully engage with and explore the 'art of accompaniment' that Pope Francis continuously emphasises. The focus of our expansive range of workshops can be seen on the poster to the left. Additionally we will be holding a discussion panel, which will consist of well experienced voices and a range of young people engaged in youth ministry. This will create the space for a healthy and constructive conversation concerning the challenges we face as youth ministers and how we can best adapt and evolve to meet young people where they are at. Furthermore, it will provide the opportunity for us to celebrate achievements, successes and share best practice with each other. Not only is this a significantly important and limited occasion for youth ministers from across the diocese to gather together for a time of learning, sharing and reflecting; we are delighted to be joined by the incredible author, speaker, and licensed psychologist Dr Julia Sadusky. All the way from the States, she will be talking to us about trends in youth culture and questions of faith. As if it couldn't get any better, the day will saturated with opportunities for prayer, adoration, receiving the sacraments and will conclude with the celebration of mass together! We can't wait to spend this unique and pivotal occasion together, exploring all things youth ministry! |
