What is the Accueil?

Situated on the banks of the river opposite the grotto the Accueil Notre Dame offers accommodation and care for those who may be sick or elderly that have made the journey to this Holy site. 
The Accueil allows for those who need assistance whilst on pilgrimage to be more fully involved in all elements of the celebration.

Whilst travelling to Lourdes with the Kenelm Youth Trust you will have the opportunity to work within the Accueil alongside other young people from across the Diocese. You will take on responsibilities such as assisting Pilgrims with meal times, taking pilgrims to Masses and services and, serving through cleaning and making beds to ensure those staying within the Accueil are well care for during their time in Lourdes.

Training will take place before travelling on the diocesan pilgrimage to ensure that everybody is comfortable and confident with their roles and the work they are going to be undertaking.
