award launch nights

The Faith in Action Award (for young people in Year 6 – 10) and the Pope John Paul II Award (for young people in Year 11+) are two excellent award schemes that recognise and celebrate young people’s engagement with the parish, school and community.
Examples of accredited activities could be fundraising in school/parish, planning an assembly, putting together charity hampers and Christmas shoeboxes and participation in the Liturgy (reading, serving, welcoming, at Mass). As you can see, the awards recognise, and celebrates, the good work that many students will already be undertaking!

The awards can be completed at different levels, tailored to a young person’s ability and other commitments.
 
BCYS are hosting evening events to launch (or relaunch!) the awards: find out how your school or parish could support young people to take up the award and hear from young people who have already taken part:
